Nice to meet you, I'm Ariel!

Before we filmed our first wedding in 2017, I was already dreaming up a business where I could use my passion of visual storytelling to impact others lives. As a child I loved to create. Playing make believe was my specialty. I jumped at the chance to be in school plays, write the scripts for class video projects, and make music videos of my little sister as she made up dance routines. Finding stories, creating stories, telling stories, I loved it all.

I'm a 1w9 and 4w3 (yes, I believe I'm both, who says we have to fit into one box?). I love the mountains and also picnics in the park. I'm an adventure junkie that works too much and eats too much ice cream. I'm obsessed with our Double Doodle Mavis and madly in love with the sexy man in that bubble below ;).

The name of our company is more than just a name, it's who I am and what I want to be. If I have been given the passion and talent to tell stories through film, I want to constantly remember the story of Jesus and include that in my work. (If you want to read more about the meaning behind our name check out our blog!) I believe that even stories that feel shrouded in darkness can bring light to those who feel a connection to the story. Creating stories is all about creating connection.

Speaking of connection, we want to connect with you! We want to capture your vision to tell your story. And in our free time, we hope to share a little bit of our own hearts. So let's meet up and make some magic!

Hi, I'm Nate!

When I was a kid, I would convince my family and friends to be in movies I made with my cassette tape camcorder. Watching those videos today brings me some of my favorite laughs and memories. I love the power video has to capture moments and tell stories. Until I was a senior in high school, I never considered doing video production as a profession. The time I spent creating, the more I realized this was something I could really do instead of just being a fun hobby. I ended up majoring in communication at college where I met my lovely and creative wife.

Without Ariel, I wouldn't be where I am today. Her dream and vision for Lionlight is something I have had the privilege to be a part of. Some people say it's dangerous to work with your spouse, which is probably true, but it is also very rewarding to work with my best friend.

You have the stories, and we want to help you tell them. From coffee shop food trucks, to weddings, to inspirational narratives, we'll tackle any project and would love the opportunity to capture and share your stories.
